A unique collaboration between the Norwegian Academy of Music, the local community of Kvæfjord and the Arctic Arts Festival continues for the fifth year in a row.
This year, as last year, the resident refugees in Kvæfjord will participate in four days of intensive music making and present a closing concert at Borkenes.
The project was initiated by the Arctic Arts Festival in 2011, as a collaboration between the Norwegian Academy of Music, Borkenes Refugee Centre and Kvæfjord kommune. The first three years asylum seekers in Borkenes took part in the project together with masters students from the academy.
This year, as last year asylum seekers resident in Kvæfjord will also take part in both the course and final concert at Borkenes.
