Imagine you are a little princess with the world´s cutest dress, gorgeous long hair, lot´s of pink toys and a bucket full of sweets…but feel very sad. Rosa feels sad.
A new take on stories of princesses, their loneliness, the games they play and the dreams they seek to fulfill. You get to know Rosa as she nearly topples on her white high heeled shoes whilst trying to dance flawlessly, just like a princess should. You might say, Rosa has everything a girl could dream of.
It doesn´t matter because she´s sad. She doesn´t have any friends to play with and her mum and dad have no time for her. Mum and dad are always away in meetings or at big parties, or at the gym, or writing on fancy paper. Rosa wonders if there is something wrong with her, because mum and dad are never home.
She tries to forget how lonely she is by creating a whole new world and by disappearing there to play with parents who do want to play with her…and to some dragons and frogs as well.
If Rosa could only do magic by Katja Brita Lindeberg-productions is a co-production with DKS Trondheim, and will delight every generation. Katja Brita Lindeberg is from Trondheim where she works as a performance artist and actress. She studied with the Canadian clown pedagogue Sue Morrison before taking a Masters in physical comedy at the Stockholm Dramatiska högskola in 2011. Her thesis shed fresh light upon the relationship between clown and gender.
Katja both produces and performs in her own productions. Her performances are often highly interactive, encouraging direct interplay between the public and the actor on the stage. She is also behind the beautiful production for youth Julie + Romeo (2013) which will be part of the Arts Festival of North Norway´s opening day.
