Løkkemo can be called a North-Norwegian incarnation of Edith Piaf! In this premiere performance, folk guru Ragnar Olsen has translated the beautiful French chansons into North Norwegian dialect.

The idea of Piaf in North-Norwegian dialect came to life 20 years ago. Britt Eva Løkkemo's voice and projected emotion go hand in hand in the interpretation of the French songs. The North Norwegian temperament has often been compared with that of the French, in terms of calling a spade a spade.

The las time Britt Eva Løkkemo performed at the Arts Festival of North Norway was in 2001 with her highly successful Billie Holiday cabaret. In assosiation with Nordnorsk viseforum.
