Few people can capitvate an audience like Kouame Sereba, bringing time and space to a standstill with his expertise in communicating with his listeners. Welcome to a solo concert by multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Sereba from the Ivory Coast.
Kouame Sereba moved to Norway in 1983 and plays an active role in the musical community here. He has played hundreds of concerts in Norway and abroad, and during the past years he has also linked his music with his narrating ability and has worked with the well-known storyteller Jan Blake from England. With deep roots in traditional music, dance and narration, he collaborates with musicians in various musical genres like jazz, folk music, contemporary music and modern African music. Sereba was awarded Tono's Jubilee Prize in 2003 and was crowned "Folk Musician of the Year" in 2009.
