Director Ketil Høegh, in collaboration with Kristine Henriksen, has put together a concert performance based on Sandell's hymns, along with monologues written by dramatist Tale Næs
Line Sandellwrote hymns that were loved by the people, such as 'Ingen er så trygg i fare', and 'Blott en dag' (Day by Day, and with each passing moment). But who was she really?
The potential for something meaningful coming out of evil is one of the leitmotifs in Sandell's writing.
– On the one hand, she was sickly, as the result of poor health. But on the other hand, she was a very strong woman. Even in the face of tragedy in her life, she had an unwavering call. Sandell was uncompromisingly true to her faith, says Kristine Henriksen. The performance gives us moving insight into the women who placed her life in the hands of the Lord. Sandell will very likely beguile, provoke and inspire the modern audience of today. Meet her through the portrayals of two talented artists: Maria Solheim and Kristine Henriksen! The concert performance is produced by Kristine Henriksen in collaboration with Hålogaland Theatre.
