This comment from the director for "The Rain Forest World Music Festival" in July 2011 aptly expresses the atmosphere created during concerts featuring the Indian-English phenomenon Kissmet!
The band's founders, brothers Ron and Buz Singh, were born in England but have their roots in the Indian province of Punjab. During the nineties, they began to experiment, mixing songs from the so-called Bhangra tradition with impulses from bands such as The Clash, Led Zeppelin and The Police. But it was only after they began to compose their own tunes that things really took off! Their funky "Bhangra Rock Fusion" music, with guitar, keyboard, bass and drums supplemented by traditional instruments - the Dhoi and Tabla - creates a seductive "feel good" ambiance. You will definitely find it hard to stand still!
